The Role

We are now seeking to recruit a Business Analyst to join our Delegated Underwriting practice to work with our TIDE product. This product takes information from offline systems into a centralised, cloud based platform which validates data against binder rules at source. This is an exciting time to join us as our product has been implemented by Lloyd’s as the market solution for delegated underwriting business. You will have proven experience of working on Delegated Authority projects or businesses and have a good balance of business process and technical abilities.  You will need to quickly master all functional aspects of the product, analyse and understand client requirements, identify gaps and solutions.  Additionally, you will provide support and Tide expertise to all business and technical resources across all project lifecycle activities, both internally and externally.  For this, you must be comfortable in a client facing role, as you will be required to demonstrate capabilities and assist in training users in a pro-active manner and with a degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become a product SME for the Tide product to make full use of the platform’s capabilities and functionality
  • Support and guide the client and internal teams in their use and understanding of the TIDE product
  • Support the sales process and sales team in progressing new sales opportunities, including client demonstration, query responses and validation of business scenarios
  • Be part of a project team involved in the implementation of the TIDE product to new clients
  • Supporting the client in their testing of new implementations and subsequent new product releases, including defect management
  • The co-ordination, preparation and delivery of end user training
  • Manage workshops to elicit requirements and documentation of those
  • Work with architects and development teams in design of product improvement solutions, producing functional specifications
  • Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts to test new product improvement solutions

Required skills

  • Good knowledge of Delegated Underwriting Operations within the London Markets, both in terms of business processes and the processing of data
  • Understands and has experience of every stage of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong people skills and the ability to manage both internally and client relationships
  • Experience of managing workshops to elicit and document business requirements with a range of market business practitioners
  • Ability to design solutions and document functional specifications to meet agreed requirements across multiple process areas
  • Good communication skills with ability to support business and technical teams on Tide related matters throughout the development lifecycle
  • Flexible and has an ability to prioritise and multi-task in a challenging working environment, good organisational skills
  • Team player. Ability to work collaboratively within the team, with clients and with other suppliers is essential
